The Pre-Flight Checklist

Every slow support ticket starts the same way: someone skipped a check that takes seconds. This page documents the five pre-flight checks, in the order you do them, with the exact screen you should see at each step.

One: network selector

Your wallet shows a network selector. Before anything else, check that it says TRC20. Sending USDT on ERC20 or BEP20 to a TRC20 address is the single most common way a deal breaks. One glance at the selector costs zero seconds and removes the largest error vector in exchange work.

  • Wallet network selector: look for TRC20
  • If it says anything else, switch before pasting the address

Two: address head and tail

After pasting the address from the chat, check the first character — a capital T for TRC20 — and the last four characters. Do not check the middle; address manipulation attacks usually change the middle. A head-and-tail check catches the vector that a middle check misses.

Three: exact amount

The service gave you a number: send exactly 150.00. Not 150. Not 151. The automation matches on precision; a rounded amount will still arrive but may not be matched automatically, turning a minutes-long deal into a manual case.

  • Copy the exact number from the chat
  • Enter it as shown, including decimals
  • Do not round — precision is the matching mechanism

Four: fee sanity check

The wallet shows a fee estimate. For TRC20 this should be negligible. If the fee appears high, check the network selector again — you may not be on TRC20. This is the same check as step one, repeated because it is cheaper to repeat it than to skip it.

Five: tracker tab

Open a mid-market tracker in a separate tab. When the quote arrives, you have the reference rate at the same second. This is not a checklist item you act on — it is a data point you keep visible, so the spread is not invisible.

Five checks. Under five minutes. Many support cases would be one sentence long if these five seconds happened before the send instead of after the stall.

FAQ

What if I forget one of the checks?

Run the ones you remember. Even two of the five — network and address head-tail — remove the two largest error categories. The list is cumulative; every check you do makes the next omission less likely to be the one that breaks the deal.
